May Winemaker Dinner – Clearview Estate
The April Eichardt’s Monthly Winemaker Dinner which was hosted by the owners of Misha’s Vineyard – Misha & Andy Wilkinson was fully booked weeks ahead of the big night, and what a night it was! We are now very excited to be taking bookings for our May Winemaker Dinner which will be hosted by Winemaker Tim Turvey of Hawke’s Bay winery Clearview Estate:
This very special evening will feature a six-course degustation menu designed and prepared by Eichardt’s Executive Chef, Will Eaglesfield. Each of the six courses has been expertly matched with one of Clearview’s legendary wines.
Tim Turvey established Clearview along with Helma van den Berg over 25 years ago, Clearview Estate Winery, Vineyards & Restaurant is situated on the coastline of Hawke’s Bay, in the Te Awanga sub-region. Against all the odds Tim and Helma have built up the Estate, planting vines and trees, establishing the restaurant and renovated the historic homestead.
Clearview Estate has established a considerable reputation for high quality, handmade wines since the winery’s first release of Cabernet Sauvignon in 1989.
The Reserve Chardonnay has received gold medals, five star ratings, and trophies in every vintage since 1992. New Zealand wine critic Michael Cooper has called the Reserve Chardonnay an “iconic New Zealand Chardonnay” and “a New Zealand super classic”.
Both Clearview Estate red and white dessert wines are the first of their kind in New Zealand and are luscious examples of the terroir, gaining national and international notoriety.
Join us for dinner with Clearview Estate founder, owner, winemaker and raconteur extraordinaire, Tim Turvey, for a night of great wines and stories alongside Eichardt’s legendary food.
Seats are priced at $110 per person which includes all food (six courses) and wines for the evening plus a welcome drink on arrival. Tim will also be bringing a couple of surprise wines from Clearview’s wine Library in addition to the set wines which we are very excited about.
